You can kill a player or a type of creature using the /kill command in Minecraft.
The /kill command
In Minecraft, the syntax for killing an entity is :
/kill <targets>
In the java edition of minecraft (PC/Mac), the /kill command has a different syntax depending on the entity you wish to kill.
To kill all entities (including your own player) :
/kill
To kill a specific player or creature :
/kill <player>
<target> or <player> is the name of the player (or a target selector) you wish to kill.

Open the chat window
The easiest way to execute a command in Minecraft is in the chat window. The game command to open the chat window depends on the version of Minecraft :
For Java Edition (PC/Mac), press the T key to open the chat window.
For Pocket Edition (PE), press the help command on the chat button at the top of the screen.
For Xbox One, press the Xbox One D-Pad (right) on the controller.
For PS4, press the D-Pad (right) ps4 on the controller.
For Nintendo Switch, press the D-Pad (right) nintendo switch on the controller.
For Windows 10 Edition, press the T key to open the chat window.
For Education Edition, press the T key to open the chat window. -
To kill yourself, enter : /kill
You may find yourself lost in your Minecraft world and unable to get home. If you kill yourself, you should respawn where you last slept. It’s an easy way to get home safely.

To kill all slimes, enter : /kill @e[type=Slime]
You can also use the /kill command to kill a particular type of creature. For example, if you’re creating an adventure map in a super-flat world, you might not want to have all the slimes everywhere.

To kill all mobs but not players, enter : /kill @e[type=!Player]
In this example, we’ll kill all the creatures (but not the players).
