The Xray Ultimate texture pack has been designed for players who want to make life easier when mining and need a little help finding resources.
Most Minecraft resources pack are designed to enhance the visuals in some way, but Xray Ultimate is unique in that it is designed to make the game easier to play rather than enhance the visuals. By its nature, you should not expect exceptional visuals, but rather a great helper when you go out to undermine.
The objective of Xray Ultimate is to assist in mining by highlighting all the minerals and mineral blocks in Minecraft. Thanks to the pack that highlights minerals and blocks of resources, you will be able to know exactly where they are and this will save you a lot of time.
It’s important to note that you’ll have to get used to the X-ray functions a little bit at first, as they tend to clutter up the screen.
The Xray Ultimate texture pack has a resolution of 16×16, so it is unlikely to cause a drop in performance. The pack works very well without Optifine, but we strongly recommend using it because it provides a useful night vision effect. You can also check the Xray Mod.

Hi, this is because the file is the same for both version !
1.8.9 requires the download to be for 1.8 otherwise you cannot click “Done” after adding this texture pack file to the active resource packs.
You can activate the pack even you get a message that say you should not use it.

Hi, that’s normal ! The file is the same for version 1.8.9 to 1.12.2. I just tried to use the pack with Minecraft 1.8.9, and even if you get a message saying that “this pack is made for a newer version of Minecraft” it still work !
1.8.9 is using this resource pack, but some blocks except lawn blocks are replaced by error block textures. Please tell me how to solve this error.
You have to use Optifine.
I am using Optifine version HD U M5 and turn off smooth lighting in 1.8.9 but still all of the blocks are null blocks. What am I supposed to do?
What version of optifine?
its not working it shows ores everywhere. It works on singleplayer but not multiplayer it shows ancient debris in overworld I use optifine.
You can’t use the Texture pack for 1.8.9 because it literally won’t let you click done.

it does not work on 1.8.9 despite what you say I have 1.8.9 optifine HD U M5, certain blocks simply have null textures, it’s nigh impossible then to determine what blocks your even standing on without constantly having the F3 menu open constantly, I have connected textures off, all of my settings should be compatible with your texture pack and I do not have any other texture packs on, I also do not have ores show up
Did you try to turn off smooth lighting ? Here is what the author of the texture pack said : “Be sure to pick up Optifine for the extra nightvision effect. So that you can see the hidden ores, also turn off smooth lighting.”

is there a way to like activate it cause i have optifine and it downloaded well an di im using hte correct version but it just isnt doing anything do i remove other resource packs or is it just a problem with the pack itself?

When i downloaded the 1.8.9 pack, it just created broken textures on ores i was able to see in my surroundings. Bu broken textures i mean purple and black squares made on the block. You must be familiar with that. And yes, like others it downloads 1.12. Any assistance I might get?

also the assets/minecraft/textures/blocks is empty, is that.. right?? IS THIS A SCAM? I’m so confused, that’s not how xray works, also sorry for unzipping and looking at the pack.
